Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, surrounding a central Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika while in mid flight, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, with two loops emanating from the lower edge of the wreath for the accommodation of a pendant consisting of a central
