It was a sci fi show that took place in space, aboard the Starship Enterprise and on other planets that the crew would visit. The show stopped airing in 1969, but in 1987 they rebooted the show as Star Trek: Next Generation with a new cast (including Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean Luc Picard), new special effects, and a new Enterprise.
