1792 Bastille Day Merchants Token Hold marked "100"Bastille Day Commemorative Merchants Token, 1792 Bronze, obverse illustrating a group of soldiers at the right pointing at a seated Marianne at the left holding a tablet, surrounded by the inscription "VIVRE LIBRES OU MOURIR" (Live Free or Die), artist signed "DUPRE F." on the raised platform under Marianne and inscribed "14 JUILLET. 1790" (July 14, 1790) below, reverse is inscribed MEDAILLE DE CONFIANCE DE CINQ SOLS REMBOURSABLE EN ASSIGNATS DE 50 ET
