India, British Raj. A Star of Merit, Breast Star, c.1910 Newly Listed (Jǐng xīng Xūnzhāng)(Sourindro Mohun Tagore). In silver, a detailed six armed silver star with centre applique in blue and white enamels, gilt iconography at centre with blue surround, reverse with horizontal pin assembly, marked on the reverse of the 12 oclock arm with an indecipherable diamond shaped mark, a boars head on the catch denoting french manufacture and silver guarantee, measuring 62. 1 mm (w) x 71. 3 mm (h), extensive enamel damage to the blue enamel ring,
